Northwest Wanderer Posted June 28, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 28, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) On a recent trip to Oregon I stopped in the region of waterfalls. I can't travel past this area without stopping to admire its beauty. The light on the tree leaves in the first image caught my attention. The waterfall in the background just added to the image. The second image is of a waterfall but taken to just show a small area. Something about cascading water is mesmerizing. Welcome, dear visitor! Northwest Wanderer Posted June 28, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted June 28, 2015 Paul, I'm very happy to hear you liked the second image. I wasn't sure it would be understood by viewers. It really needed to be explained in my written text. I'm glad it worked.
platypus Posted June 28, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 28, 2015 Bill, Both images are lovely, but I agree with Paul; the second has something extra with it's strong, rather abstract composition, and the lacy delicacy of the water, the more one looks at it the more can be seen...... no wonder you stopped there! Thank you Stuart & Dee. Dee, I stop at this waterfall every time I'm in the Portland, Oregon area. Usually I photograph the entire waterfall but with so many people walking the trail to the top, I stopped and sat on a bench to admire it. Whenever people were not blocking my view I'd snap a close-up image. Glad you like the image.
fotografr Posted June 29, 2015 Share #7 Posted June 29, 2015 (edited) Advertisement (gone after registration) I'm with Paul and Dee. Both are superb but the second one is really unique in its abstraction. I was just in Portland. Is this Multnomah Falls by any chance?
