earleygallery Posted June 20, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 20, 2015 Fantastic! I was admiring Bentley tourer the other weekend and took some photos. Some guy shouted at me from a restaurant over the road, I expected something like 'get away from my car' but he was telling me to jump in get my photo taken in the car! He loved his car but said he really enjoyed seeing other people who were interested in it. I was tempted to ask for a test drive…...
Manoleica Posted June 20, 2015 Share #5 Posted June 20, 2015 My first RR was in "75/Silver with a red Everflex roof.. Your pics really set my mind back - sweet" A most excellent set.. Tx, L
dkCambridgeshire Posted June 23, 2015 Share #6 Posted June 23, 2015 Excellent set Michael. Apologies for commencing similar RR Burghley thread; mine was originally in the Technology & Industry section but I requested a 'move' when realised there could be more photos than originally anticipated. Days 2 and 3 were very interesting - I cancelled attending the Bourne Classic Car Show on the Sunday because of the photo potential at Burghley. The RR Rally is an unmissable event for next year. mike_j Posted June 26, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted June 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for the kind comments. I rather like the M8 ~B and W output. Conversion in Lightroom, basically on default setting. Dunk, I'm following your thread with interest. No doubt you will have a lot interesting info to add. I was sorry to miss the Saturday and Sunday, spent miserably in hospital with a serious ankle fracture and now housebound.
dkCambridgeshire Posted June 26, 2015 Share #8 Posted June 26, 2015 Hi Michael, Wish you good healing. Have more photos to process including RR Merlin engine(s) and RR Silver Ghost … and researching facts/specifications/history ref same. Today bought Kenneth Ullyettt's 1963 'The Book of the Silver Ghost' which includes a complete facsimile of the original Silver Ghost owner's manual. RR Rally is a definite 'must attend' for next year. Best wishes dunk
dkCambridgeshire Posted June 27, 2015 Share #9 Posted June 27, 2015 Your last two photos show a Silver Ghost Michael … I think I have some colour pics of the same car. The Silver Ghost owner's manual is fascinating reading. dunk
a.j.z Posted September 6, 2015 Share #10 Posted September 6, 2015 Nice set of pictures - although I am a little disappointed, because after reading the title I had expected a couple of RRs on a dirt track ;-)
