luigi bertolotti Posted June 13, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) It is surely not Fontenelle, nor JC, nor Luigi, just saw it in a shop: Surely more bodies than mine (but less lenses, I'd say... and for the accessories is a difficult comparision...) In which town is it displayed ? Edited June 13, 2015 by luigi bertolotti

zeitz Posted June 14, 2015 Share #7 Posted June 14, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Can anyone identify the chrome telephoto lens on the shelf behind the collapsible 50mm lenses, to the left of the Canon 135mm lens? The lens mount is sticking up, and there is no rear lens cap. (All in all, the collector didn't seem to care much to lens caps.)
Michael Hiles Posted June 14, 2015 Share #8 Posted June 14, 2015 Rome, Luigi Is this the little camera shop on the Via Emilio Morosini, Trastevere?

Sorry for the aweful quality but I took it with my handy and quickly.

(the lens at side is surely, as you say, a Canon : 135 f 3,5 I'd say) but it could be also from one of the many German little firms which made LTM lenses in the '50s... if the lens on the top is the front lens, it could be some 135 4,5/6,3 or there around... (*) "upside down" as is the Elmar 9cm with FIKUS 3rd from left, after the black Canon. zeitz Posted June 14, 2015 Share #12 Posted June 14, 2015 Yes, it does appear to be pointing up. I am very curious as to what it is. It is not a Canon lens, but it could be Japanese.

jc_braconi Posted June 15, 2015 Share #17 Posted June 15, 2015 Yes this one, can be a black M4 absolutely
jaapv Posted June 15, 2015 Share #18 Posted June 15, 2015 It could be an early (no leatherette) Corfield Tele-Lumax lens. In that case it would not be rangefinder-coupled.
luigi bertolotti Posted June 15, 2015 Share #19 Posted June 15, 2015 (edited) The more I look at that lens, the less I understand... ... the glass on top... OK, ought to be the FRONT lens... it even has a white inscription around the black ring (two words... probably one starting with a capital "S"... ) ; but it is VERY little compared to the diameter of the front element of the Canon next to it (a 135 3,5, I'd say) ... so I'd say that if it is a 135, is at least f 4,5... or maybe some even longer focal 150 ? 180 ?) with aperture like 5,5/6,3 ... moreover, all the shape of the front is someway strange... Leo, me too am in Italy... but far from Rome... ... isn't that you can go there again and solve this little mistery ?
