Pecole Posted June 4, 2015 Share #1 Posted June 4, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) When walking in Algarve with a friend last week, we discovered many nice examples of typical Southern Portugal's architecture. Here are some images : - three churches first, in Silves, in Albufeira (Nossa Senhora da Orada) and in Almancil (St Laurent). - and then houses in Almancil and in Tavira. Welcome, dear visitor! Pecole Posted June 5, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted June 5, 2015 An excellent series. The second and third pictures are my favorites. Paul Thanks as usual, Paul. Its conservation is perfect, and inside (photographing prohibited, but the V-Lux 20 is discreet...) it is entirely covered by superb blue tiles - the famous Portuguese "azulejos" - dating from 1730 (the first references to the church date one century earlier). It is situated near the place where I live. Here are a few more images (including "stolen" ones...) Welcome, dear visitor! xvarior01 Posted June 17, 2015 Share #6 Posted June 17, 2015 This architecture reminds of the days I used to live in Venezuela. Portuguese and Spanish architecture is dominant there. Thanks for sharing my Friend.
