seukel Posted May 31, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 31, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Is there really no autoflash option on this advanced camera?
Advertisement Posted May 31, 2015 Posted May 31, 2015 Hi seukel, Take a look here No Autoflash on D-lux (109). I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
dhsimmonds Posted May 31, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 31, 2015 Seukel, the type 109 and Lumix LX100 is a very advanced little camera Assuming that you have fitted the supplied little flashgun, go to page 5 of the recording menu select Flash then Firing Mode which should bring up TTL, which is "through the lens". The TTL mode as with most flash guns is the automatic setting. If you are using a non supplied flash gun then this setting should still work as an automatic setting. Most advanced photographers may prefer to use one of the other manually set menu settings, but the auto or TTL setting will allow the camera to make it's own mind up regarding flash intensity etc based on what the lens observes. I hope that this helps?
seukel Posted May 31, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted May 31, 2015 Thanks Dave, but this is not about TTL or manual. What I meant with "automatic flash" was a setting in which the camera decides if the flash is needed or not. What you can choose on the type 109 under Flash Mode is Forced on or Forced off + red eyes and slow sync. Forced on = the flash fires always, Forced off = the fires never. Automatic = the fires when required is not there.
dhsimmonds Posted May 31, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 31, 2015 Ah, now I understand, just like my wife's point and shoot compact camera. Sorry, can't help!
seukel Posted June 1, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted June 1, 2015 Not only point & shoot cameras have this option. Also highend cameras like the Fujifilm X-Pro1.
