No Autoflash on D-lux (109)

Recommended Posts

Seukel, the type 109 and Lumix LX100 is a very advanced little camera   Assuming that you have fitted the supplied little flashgun, go to page 5 of the recording menu select Flash then Firing Mode which should bring up TTL,  which is  "through the lens".   The TTL mode as with most flash guns is the automatic setting.   If you are using a non supplied flash gun then this setting should still work as an automatic setting.    Most advanced photographers may prefer to use one of the other manually set menu settings, but the auto or TTL setting will allow the camera to make it's own mind up regarding flash intensity etc based on what the lens observes.

I hope that this helps?

Thanks Dave, but this is not about TTL or manual. What I meant with "automatic flash" was a setting in which the camera decides if the flash is needed or not. What you can choose on the type 109  under Flash Mode is Forced on or Forced off + red eyes and slow sync. Forced on = the flash fires always, Forced off = the fires never. Automatic = the fires when required is not there.
