Michael Hiles Posted May 28, 2015 Share #3 Posted May 28, 2015 Very nice. This kind of picture is much more difficult than it seems - outstanding is in fact quite rare.
fotografr Posted May 28, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 28, 2015 Superb image. The dark background really make the flowers pop out, particularly combined with the amazing detail.

Northwest Wanderer Posted May 28, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted May 28, 2015 Thank you everyone. The dark background and a little sharpening of the flowers seems to have worked well.
stuny Posted May 28, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 28, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Beautiful! I suspect it might be even stronger with a bit less sharpening.
platypus Posted May 29, 2015 Share #8 Posted May 29, 2015 This is really different, it is quite sharpened but that has combined with the dark background, the contrasty lighting, plus the use of dof to give the image a strange and interesting illustrative look....it's lovely, I think it works really well. allamande Posted June 2, 2015 Share #12 Posted June 2, 2015 I love lilacs and I don't get to see them often where I live (only some wild varieties in the mountains of Southern Cal). I like this shot very much, the beauty of the lilac comes through. Ece
Northwest Wanderer Posted June 4, 2015 Author Share #13 Posted June 4, 2015 Thank you John & Ece. Stuart, the image is a little overly sharpened but just having eye surgery my vision is still adjusting. It is nice to view the world a little brighter & clearer.
