Cuba liegt zwar noch auf der nördlichen Erdhalbkugel - aber ziemlich weit unten. Dieses Riesenrad stand am südlichsten Zipfel der Insel, etwa auf der Höhe von Zentralafrika. So oder so - was ich völlig faszinierend fand, war die Beschaffenheit dieser und anderer Gerätschaften: für mich war es eine Zeitreise in längst vergangene Zeiten.
