mikeleng Posted May 23, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 23, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) M9P + 35mm Summicron I know there is a bit of HDR in there, it was the only solution at my disposal to bring out the clouds, normally I would have used a grad filter, is it cheating ? Advertisement Posted May 23, 2015 Posted May 23, 2015 Hi mikeleng, Take a look here Lake District- passing through. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Michael Hiles Posted May 23, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2015 Excellent picture, dramatic tones. Fine result, in the end. How you get there is not important, except that others might learn from your experience. Cheating? How and who are you cheating? It can only be yourself, and then only you can be the judge. Show your pictures, let them stand on their own merits. This one should be durable.

platypus Posted May 26, 2015 Share #6 Posted May 26, 2015 This looks excellent and should make a very satisfactory print. Of course it's not cheating...it's creativity! And it's the result that is the proof of the pudding.
Iduna Posted May 26, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 26, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Mike, it is a great image with great details, light and depth. The sky and its reflection is essential. The poles and stones are defining the depth. RAW files are always dull and need processing up to the artists imagination. Excellent work here, Mike
