such crisp sharpnes in this series with that lens. I also like the frames and the lonesome tristesse of that place.

'Lonesome tristesse' - yes, exactly right. Great b&ws which remind me of childhood holidays...

There are few scenes as depressing as British seaside resorts out of season.

You think it looks better in the season? Nice Pix Andy as Rhyl IS difficult. I've only taken a few shots near Rhyl thatI'm happy with - of the world's first submarine - underwater. Never got anything above as yet. I have friends who live there who might even agree .....
