Elcan 52mm f5.6 adapter?

Recommended Posts

hallo jan

i haven't seen this lens advertised, but it is mentioned in luigi's link, toward the bottom of the article.   look here:  http://www.marcocavina.com/articoli_fotografici/Leitz_Elcan_52mm_5,6/00_pag.htm

the docuflex unit was apparently able to use either the 52mm or 70mm lens depending on required reproduction / reduction ratio.   let us know if you find more on the 70mm?

my impression of the 52mm ELCAN lens so far: it may have been designed and/or used as an enlarging or documentation lens (docuflex), but i'm ready to use it for normal photography.  at infinity or at the 1 meter minimum focusing distance (so far), the results are good.

for example, the scarves are a vertical crop from full frame, and the construction photo taken from across the street is shown in full size and cropped to the center 1/9th.  no processing, no sharpening, very usable IMHO.

thanks for reading.   if you buy this lens and need the address of the technician who made the leica R adapter for it, let me know.   i'll be glad to help.
