Jeff Bird Posted May 7, 2015 Share #6 Posted May 7, 2015 Great photos. Had a ride in a T-6 Texan once, it was a blast. Nice to see one of General William "Billy" Mitchell namesakes still flying and looking so good. The image of the razor back Jug lifting off is my favorite. Really good job at making the plane stand out from the background. Would have loved to have been there and heard that baby roar off.
stuny Posted May 7, 2015 Share #7 Posted May 7, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Terrific once again, and I too have the B25 as one of my favorites. Part of its appeal is its diminutive size.
Hank Taylor Posted May 7, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted May 7, 2015 Thanks Scott & Jeff, I love taking these every year but since I was in the Philippines I miss the last 3 years . It is always my pleasure in sharing with my good leica friends. The Old R 350mm 4.8 is still my favorite even over my Nikon 70-200 2.8 and 70- 300 4.5. No need to shoot auto love setting up on manual always seems to work best for me. Hank
Hank Taylor Posted May 8, 2015 Author Share #9 Posted May 8, 2015 This time a Navy favorit of mine. The F4F Wildcat as was recently written "The F4F is a prime instance of a plane that doesn't shine in anything in particular, yet it does quite well, or really well, in some departments. Is one of those jack of all trades and master of none, and of course that means that the fighter is not spectacular at all. But it gets the job done and is efficient at it.
