Although it wasn't a cloudless day , it was difficult getting one in with  the shots of the planes. Here is one which  made it. :)

Also, there is nothing more exciting then  to  hear a  Pratt & Whitney R2800 Double Wasp's engine lifting off a Thunderbolt

Checking mags before takeoff  a B 24 pilot reves up his engines . Photo Fanny has been used as a camera platform for many of the war movies recently such  as Pearl Harbor.

Great photos. Had a ride in a T-6 Texan once, it was a blast. Nice to see one of General William "Billy" Mitchell namesakes still flying and looking so good. The image of the razor back Jug lifting off is my favorite. Really good job at making the plane stand out from the background. Would have loved to have been there and heard that baby roar off.

Thanks Scott & Jeff, I love taking these every year but since I was in the Philippines I miss the last 3 years . It is always my pleasure in sharing with my good leica friends. The Old R 350mm 4.8 is still  my favorite even over my Nikon 70-200 2.8 and 70- 300 4.5.  No  need to shoot auto  love setting up  on manual always seems to  work  best for me.

This time a Navy favorit of mine. The F4F Wildcat as was recently written "The F4F is a prime instance of a plane that doesn't shine in anything in particular, yet it does quite well, or really well, in some departments. Is one of those jack of all trades and master of none, and of course that means that the fighter is not spectacular at all. But it gets the job done and is efficient at it. :)
