Leica X Typ 113 - Adobe RGB and over-saturated greens in JPGs

I'm writing this in hopes of preventing others from running into what I feel is a bug in the X Typ 113 firmware...

I generally love the JPG output of my X Typ 113, and use that as a starting point for images that I post (or print).  The JPG files are really good, enough so that I don't have to do much post-processing.  However, I had recently noticed a problem with the out-of-the-camera JPG files, where the greens were terribly over-saturated.  The over-saturation of greens was so bad, that JPG files out of the camera were useless.  Greens were almost neon.

I didn't recall having this issue before, but with Spring having arrived and everything outdoors turning green, I could no longer ignore the problem.  I went through all the settings, including white balance and the film modes.  None of those settings made a difference.  But then, as a last resort, I decided to switch my Color Space from Adobe RGB (which I had been using when I was getting the awful over-saturated greens) to sRGB.  Took some test photos, and voila - greens in OOC JPG files now look normal.

This is bizarre to me.  I've been shooting for many years, and have never encountered this issue with other cameras shooting Adobe RGB.  My workflow handles Adobe RGB, and my monitor is tuned.  Not to mention, the over-saturated green is noticeable on the camera LCD (which displays the JPG, not the RAW), and on other monitors.  This seems like a bug of some type in the Adobe RGB output - use of that color space over sRGB expands the color gamut, but should not shift it or over-saturate it like what I was seeing here.

Long story short, do not use Adobe RGB as your color space if you shoot with the X Typ 113.  Switch to sRGB and your JPG files will look much better, even if you're using Lightroom or Photoshop to process images from the JPG files.  Interestingly, I was able to test this on a second X Typ 113 - same issue.  So it's not an issue with my particular camera (which is good :-)).

I have attached two JPG files (including embedded EXIF data), taken seconds apart.  The only difference in settings is the color space in which they were shot.  You can see how dramatically different the IQ is with regards to how green is rendered.  The first image with the over-saturated green is Adobe RGB, and the second image is sRGB.  The film type is Standard for both (not Vivid).

If anyone else runs into this issue, I'm hoping this post helps.
