It's not quite clear to me what you want to know, I suggest you download   the instruction manual from the Leica site.  It covers focus beginning on page 30.

Back button focus is when you remove the auto focus function from the front shutter release. This helps save valuable time in refocusing by a button assigned in the back of the camera.  The shutter release only takes pictures. To do that one has to remove that function and assign it to a button in the back. Hence called back button focus. It helps in AF- Continuous, but there is a process for that. Can anyone assist with that.
