ksayyed Posted May 3, 2015 Author Share #3 Posted May 3, 2015 Back button focus is when you remove the auto focus function from the front shutter release. This helps save valuable time in refocusing by a button assigned in the back of the camera. The shutter release only takes pictures. To do that one has to remove that function and assign it to a button in the back. Hence called back button focus. It helps in AF- Continuous, but there is a process for that.
