fotografr Posted April 19, 2015 Share #2 Posted April 19, 2015 That's gorgeous, Dee. The blues are actually iridescent. It's strange to think of fall starting there when spring is just breaking out here.

Thanks Brent, the undersides of the leaves really are that strange bluey/purple shade, I had never noticed that fact prior to photographing them yesterday. allamande Posted April 19, 2015 Share #7 Posted April 19, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dee, It is hard to think of Fall as we are surrounded by Spring blooms. But, at the same time, it is a reassuring feeling of connectedness I feel whenever I see your beautiful nature shots. This one is no exception. It pops with color burst. The blue is astonishing and makes the whole scene very unique. Ece
platypus Posted April 20, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted April 20, 2015 Andrew, Stuart, Louis and Ece...thanks for your comments. Andrew....I'm certain the Claret Ash is not a native of Australia as our native trees are not deciduous but, (having googled it) I am frustrated to find that I can't locate a country of origin for this tree....Ash trees as a species are native to Europe however! fotografr Posted April 20, 2015 Share #10 Posted April 20, 2015 (edited) Thanks Brent, the undersides of the leaves really are that strange bluey/purple shade, I had never noticed that fact prior to photographing them yesterday. That's one of the things I've always loved about photography. It leads us to examine the world more closely and often to make discoveries like this.
