Use Voigtländer and Zeiss ZM lenses on M9-P

I have three M-bodies (M6 classic, M9 and M9-P).  I do also have a Voigtländer Nokton 50mm 1.1 and a Zeiss ZM 25mm in addtion to my Leica lenses and some others.

When I mount these two lenses on the M6 and M9 they lock as they should to the bodies.  When I use them at the M9-P, the does not lock.  It is possible to turn them too far, and it is also possible to unmount them without push in the lock button.

All my Leica-lenses locks as they should, the same with both my other Voigtländer's (15mm II and 75mm Classic).

I think it is a bit annoying, but it is not a showstopper.  I only avoid using these two lenses at the M9-P body.

Is there anybody out there with the same problem, or is it only my two lenses that is wrong?

I have not had any problem using the 35/1.2 v1 and 50/1.1 Noktons and the Zeiss C-Sonnar 50/1.5 on the M8, M9, or M Monochrom.

The problem has to be the notches in the M-Mount of the lens being smaller than the latch on the M9-P. A pair of calipers would show the difference. I suspect the latch on the M9-P is slightly wider, or possibly at a slight angle compared with the M9.

This sounds very strange, and it shouldn't happen.  An M-mount is an M-mount, particularly the modern versions.  There was some talk of the Konica Hexar RF having a funny mount, but I haven't heard this about the M9 vs M9-P.  My Zeiss and Voigtlander lenses are fine on my Zeiss Ikon, M7 and M9.

I've not had any mounting or locking problem with my M9-P and several Zeiss ZM lenses: 21mm/2.8, 28mm/2.8, 35mm/2.8 or 35mm/1.4. There could be something wrong with the lock pin of your camera Svein, if it's happening to more than one lens.

Thank you all for your replies :) .  I do also think it is a bit weird.  It is two out nine lenses that does not lock properly at one body out of three.

I will try to get hold on some tools for measure the lock-pin and flage at the lenses, but I doubt it will give me some answer.

If it makes you feel any better, my Leica 28mm Elmarit would not lock on my m8.2. I ended up working at the inside of the "u" shaped notch on the lens mount, to clean it and open it up a fraction. The lens now clicks nicely into place.

Thank you for all your replies.  Problem solved  :D

The solution was as described by T44ISKN.  Now the two lenses locks as they should with a nice click.

Again, Thank you very much for your help :)

I don't think I'll be touching a Voigtländer again.

The mount on my 15mm III is too tight, hence the chrome plating has worn down revealing brass markings, which is rather alarming because chrome shavings are not something you want deposited in a camera.

I tried to replace it with another mount, and one of the screws completely snapped! So while optically impressive I would not trust Voigtländer's lack of mechanical precision.

That is very surprising, as I have a number of Voigtlander lenses and they are ironically more mechanically sound and snug than Zeiss lenses from the same factory and time period.  Something must have gone amiss if a recent Voigtlander is having problems.
