I just wrote in another post that now that I need to send my M8 to sensor remapping, I would like to have the Leica name engraved in the top plate and upgrade to the vulcanite of the M-E. goatsby Posted May 2, 2015 Author Share #8 Posted May 2, 2015 Yes, I did the black dot and leatherette myself. Wasn't too tough, especially the black dot. You have to twist the red dot with your fingernails left and right until it twists all the way off, then gently place the black dot on and viola! If Leica does those changes when you send your M8 in please let me know what they are charging as I would love to have an engraved top plate.
