Erik Gunst Lund Posted March 12, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 12, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have added an extra dovetail to my Really Right Stuff BM9-B Hand grip so it works as an L-Plate for vertical images especially for stitching high resolution images or panoramas. The Original RRS solutions was too large and ugly IMHO. Cameraleather can supply you with the RRS grip cover, very nice. Advertisement Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Hi Erik Gunst Lund, Take a look here M9 Custom RRS Hand grip L-Plate. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pico Posted March 12, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 12, 2015 I like it. I'm off to the shop to rummage through parts. BTW, instead of the nice leather you use, I get small strips of 3M Safety-Walk tape (sold by the foot) from the hardware store. It is very rough and works well.
Luke_Miller Posted March 12, 2015 Share #3 Posted March 12, 2015 What plate did you mount to the grip?
Erik Gunst Lund Posted March 12, 2015 Author Share #4 Posted March 12, 2015 Thank's it's Sunwayfoto dovetail adapter, comes with DDH03i Panning Clamp - It just needs a trim with a Dreml to fit. Ideally RRS should just do two cuts in the original grip design...

Did you put the leather covering on the hand grip yourself, or did it come that way from Really Right Stuff?
Erik Gunst Lund Posted March 13, 2015 Author Share #6 Posted March 13, 2015 Did you put the leather covering on the hand grip yourself, or did it come that way from Really Right Stuff? Cameraleather can supply you with the RRS grip cover. BTW the extra dovetail only adds 2.0mm to the overall grip length.

I have a drill press, taps, dies and I am not afraid to use them. I just need the Erick Talent plug-in to make 'em work.
