Film flatness, especially for MF is obviously key to getting the best from these scanners. The Nikon 9000 with the custom glass holder had very impressive results with the 6x9 example. Using the standard holder, the result (for that same piece of film) was very poor indeed. The Plustek 120 also stands up very well if you can counter the film flatness problem and get the film within the DOF of this scanner. That particular scanner is so close to being a must-have piece of kit for film photographers. Hopefully Plustek are working on a version II with some form of adjustable focus (and without the banding that some users are reporting) because I'd certainly like to buy one.
