Arte Di Mano Half Case M240

They look beautiful, but the current Leica brand cases are beautifully designed and constructed (was not true of the ones for M8 and M9) and cost about half. A full-case for the M240 is about the same price as the ADM halfcase, and the Leica case bottom has a hanging backflap that I prefer because it protects the LCD and buttons.

Thanks I will take a look.

There are new Leica branded cases out that fit both the M240 and M-P240 (with frame selector lever) and are lower cost than the earlier ones that only fit the M240. So if you have an M240 you might be able to get a good deal on an M240-only case from a dealer who is overstocked. I got one like that when I bought my pre-owned M240 recently, they gave the case to me at dealer-net cost just to get rid of it.

Hi,

Much as these threads seem to elicit 'groans' from all the regulars, its actually one of the most difficult questions to answer oneself... You can't do much in the way of research other than stare endlessly at pictures because so few stores around the world actually carry Arte Di Mano on demonstration or in stock... (and they should, because they are stunning and I am sure they would sell to anyone buying a new Leica...).

I picked up mine today. A used one. Private sale... I couldn't resist it, even though the one colour I really didn't like online was, of course, the red, and the one that I bought was... red...

It was just too beautiful to pass.

I had seen the Leica half case at Leica Mayfair and to be honest, given the cost of the M nowadays, Leica really should do better. Very utilitarian... very poor quality. Dull. I wouldn't buy a Leica half case based on what I saw in store... and now I have seen the ADM in the flesh, its a no brainer.

The fit and finish is absolutely stunning, it adds 'virtually nothing' to the size of the camera and actually feels more stable and secure in the hand than the body alone.

I had bought the basic Leica grip when I bought my M240P, but found it simply made the camera look and feel more like a DSLR... and didn't really add much as far as handling was concerned.

My new Arte Di Mano case on my M means it looks and feels like a Leica again and I can now put the camera down on a brick wall or roughly on a table top without wincing...

WillI use it...? Without doubt...It feels, safe, comfortable... like 'my' camera now...:)

Couldn't resist a picture (sorry!).

Weirdly, it looks FAR less red in real life than on any pictures you see... I know NDWgolf had a lot of stick for his red ADM case, but seriously guys, it is far more understated than it appears in pictures... (must be a white balance thing...:p).

So, to the original poster... If you found one, you would buy it, and you would use it... I am convinced... It looks and feels stunning...

(Jeez... it looks red now it is up on the forum... honestly, it ISNT that red...!).

Question for the group.

Does anyone use the Arte Di Mano Half case with their M240? Wanted your opinions on using it; I am interested in getting one just not sure I would actually use it.

Fits perfectly and beautifully made ........... but expensive

Thanks for the post. I never bought one, I have their padded strap and I think its great. I haven't really had the time to look at it to much and no one carries it locally up here. Was considering the brown to match my strap but might just be to much bling for my camera.

I have the grip and love it. helps me out a lot. I think anyone that has the .95, the grip is almost a must. (I don't have this lens yet but it is in the works.)
