Good to have you back, Keith.

Attached is the Royal Horse Artillery - I just let the C do its own thing at the P setting.

I did a bunch of product shots a month or so ago 'cos I was flogging off a few watches.

I setup a lightbox, and slaved two flashes to be triggered by the internal flash of the Leica C. Got mixed results because the C's flash kept over illuminating the front of the watch. Then I thought to build a sort of pouch over the C's flash which allowed the light to spill sideways to trigger the slaves, but not forward to illuminate the watch. Worked fine.

Next time I'll go for a black background, but progress for me at least.

Used sticky aluminium duct tape, of anyone cares.

This week's experiments photographing an orchid using high key lighting included a few shots taken with the Leica C; this example was post processed using both Photos and PS Elements.

Yet again this shows off the power of the little "C"................but as a keen orchid growing hobbyist (I have nearly 800 of them from all around the world) I just think the striking impact of white against white does not show off the true intricacy of the specialized lip - but that is just me!

Beautifully clear image which would brighten up any dark space.

Still experimenting Richard and hope to portray the lips better in future … it's a learning process and trying to achieve a certain lighting effect … not quite there yet. White on white for the petals is not easy; objective is to illustrate their translucence. There are alternative means of lighting (e.g. darkfield transillumination) which will also try.

Yes the C is a super compact camera; above was taken using jpeg mode; with DNG should obtain better detail.

One image from open monument day some weeks ago. It is from an old library. In the library it was so dark I have used ISO 3200. It's an  ooc jpg. It must have been better if I had used raw.

And another one on the same day from a water pressure station. Also ooc jpg.

Strange situation, this one is uploaded twice. Did I do something wrong?

The second image only arrived once for me.

Yes, indeed. My post was displayed twice. Think there was something wrong with my connection. I have edited the first one, presume I deleted the picture. It ended like it is now. Strange, never had issues before.

Just acquired a Leica C, principally for its superb portability (and of course its capability!).  Took the hound out for a trot the other day and took the C in my pocket for a test drive.
