Perhaps it's time to say "film is alive" rather then "film is dead" which is rather less depressing ;)

Yes , you're perhaps right, an "update" if you want Harold  :)

My film dealer * told me recently that these Portra film sales explode :)

Portra is a very easy and forgiving film to use vs Ektar. So for newbies to film Portra is a great intro and make people want to shoot more. It's as easy as digital!!! :-). Not surprised sales are up.

Steve , when we look at this table , we understand why, according to what we want , we can vary our choice :)

and why Kodak Portra and also Ektar (that Adam uses) has success.

Film was never on the red list for extinction and despite the recent demise of niche players such as Holga, there appears to be sufficient demand from long-term film users and the so-called 'hipster' brigade (i.e. those discovering film for the first time) to ensure its future.  The M7, with its aperture priority represents the modern face of 35mm film photography (says he who owns & uses an M7, MP, IIIg, Pentax ME Super, Olympus OM2n & Rolleicord Vb).

Photon, nice M6 , I love this brown color  !

First question : is "à la carte"  ?

Second question : a mechanical rangefinder against an electronic , which you like ?

most reliable and most accurate  ?

but good Leica Q , may be more practical !

Nice pictures on your link , specially Paris :)

All with film ?

Best
