Let me leave my M7 here. Feels perfectly safe with the grip (I have big hands) and is simply the perfect camera for me.

Yes I like the Leica grip very discreet

Thanks for posting your nice M7 :)

Best

Very nice Ellie! Makes me even more eager to receive mine finally. But it's still weeks away.

The à la carte I ordered is black paint, blank top, black MP film advance and MP style leatherette. I was aiming for a really subtle, classic, no logo, minimal M7.

Hi Mc, it will be a great pleasure to shoot with the M7. :)

I have yet experienced last Saturday with 2 M digital (as back up) and especially my M7 with color film

(and my MP with Kodak TX)
More successful pictures well exposed (vs M9) , sometimes in difficult light conditions, with this camera.
I  have just developed myself these 3 rolls of Kodak Portra .

Congrat for this purchase and don't forget to post picture here  :)

Have you also order a grip ?

Film is not dead , Long live the film.

Last saturday , I was the wedding photographer of my lawyer friend's son , I knew at birth (the time flies

so quickly)

We were two photographers, me with my 4 cameras

2 digital cameras as back up , (but very few photos made with digital) and 2 M analog ,one M7 with color film

and one MP with b&w film.  I do not use flash and tripod (not practical to move).

Cameras M remain very discreet and few people notice my presence,  not the case of another photographer

with 2 SLR Canon 5DII , long tele and flash.

Here one picture I post to show you the result

Not a huge fan of the generic composition in these, but I'm also looking for something more complex and abstract in my wedding photographer.

If you seriously want a photographer to deliver what you want, be very clear to detail 'what you want'. We would be interested in what it is also, beyond complex and abstract.

I'm also interested in how that sits with recording a traditional event. Presumably as 'part of'.

Hi Pi ,  I am often asked by friends to photograph their weddings. Before I photography with my 2M digital. I must admit that this

is "inflation triggers",  I triggerI trigger. Now it's the opposite,

I think with my M7 before shooting, I compose, I try the best framing, and finally I'm happy because all my photos are good.

There are shots that are better than others, but the colors are beautiful without correction in Lightroom.

and what a pleasure to develop color film itself as b&w .

As said Erl , we must think ahead and know what you want.

Bravo, Henry!

I'm not sure that I will ever be brave enough to develop C41 at home, but I like the result.

Hi Stephan, Thank you but it's fun to develop himself and it's cheaper , work well done with no scratch on film

but you must be careful for  the time (3 minutes,15 sec) and temperature (38°C). Work with gloves and in a ventilated room. :)

Smile in color :)  with girl friends of the bride .

It happened in a small village and a nice small church,  in the middle of our vineyard of Champagne

I like specially the B&W photo Henry, this thread (and similar) are pushing mt to use more my M7 !

robert

Yes you can Robert :)

It's really a good camera for a "decisive moment" (Henri Cartier Bresson)

I remind you I do not retouch my pictures like my 2 M digital cameras.

Very relaxing way of photographing !

Thanks for your comment Robert :)
