Not my picture but I found this today. It was the camera on the bed that caught my attention. The view from the roof terraces is pretty awesome too.

This suite in the Raphael Hotel, Paris costs about 1000euro per night. I'm thinking of moving in.;)

Used to be Emir Amin Palace, now transformed into a breathtaking "history-capsule" 5 stars hotel in Mount Lebanon.

The Divan you see here, used to be the Emir's preferred spot o his castle.

The previous post was an "in" joke with myself because - I hope - none of you know my wife. That was the only and only time I ever got her in a proper tent. Nothing happened as it was so damned cold.

This is a great thread and perhaps I could encourage more unusual hotels.  That sad - Tom, I think the light in your picture is superb. What camera/lens?

I will have to try and find a picture of the "Nice Nice Come Again" Hotel, which you will not find in the Michelin Guide. I have stayed in a few tent hotels, one was just a tent with the word "hotel" painted on it, the other notable one was Chhatra Sagar, which was 5* glamping.

I might come close to the best upgrade prize, to a suite that now costs $7,000 per night. The cost of this particular room was once famously discussed in the US Congress. I took a picture to remind myself how stupidly big the living room was (there were at least 10 rooms in total) and it just looks like the lobby of a normal hotel. The best thing about it was that the room came with Bill the Butler.

I got an email as I've stayed in the hotel, nothing to do with photography, it's very good, quiet and well located. Even the staff are scrupulously polite and friendly.
