mitfocotar Posted April 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 15, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have 2 Leitz wood easels. One I bought new in 1967. Even then the focus tracks were too stiff for my taste, and am wondering if there is any safe way to lubricate them? I was told to use paste wax. Thanks, Chip
Advertisement Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Hi mitfocotar, Take a look here "lubricating" Leitz easels. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
M.Hilo Posted April 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 16, 2014 I have the same easels and have treated them with a little vaseline (the basic one without parfumes). If I remember well, the trick is to find out where exactly the metal parts touch. Also the paper adjusters can get to stiff, same story.
