mirekti Posted December 28, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 28, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I found this plugin for LR, and it comes as a free version, but one can donate as well. I find it very useful as one can for example change the EXIF for CV lenses coded as 21 PreAsph into the right ones. It migh not be so useful if you have more than one 3rd party lens coded the same. LensTagger Lightroom plugin In order to use it, one has to download the tool itself at: ExifTool by Phil Harvey I put the exe file into the same folder where the plugin is. One has to remove (-k) from the exe file. Than go to Plug In Manager in Lightroom, and under LensTagger->Options select the path to the exe file (I copied it to the same directory where the plugin is i.e. "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.2\LensTagger.lrdevplugin\exiftool.exe"). In Library Module simply select the files you want to change their focal lenght, name of the lens... and than go to File->Plug-In Extras->LensTagger I only change Lens Name, Focal Lenght, Max Aperture, and Focal lenght in 35mm. Uncheck the Edit, and run the command. Once the process is done, simply go to Metadata->Read Metadata from file. Voila!!

thighslapper Posted January 5, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 5, 2014 mmmm...... thanks for this it works very well ..... I can batch process and correctly name all my voigt 12/5.6 images ..... .... but using a batch command to 'read metadata from file' only seems to work on the first image in the list..... which is a bit of a pain ...... or at least on LR 5.3 it does.....???? woorob Posted January 11, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 11, 2014 To apply the revised EXIF data generated by LensTagger to a group of images, select the ones you want by holding the Control key (for non-contiguous images in a set) or the Shift key (for contiguous images), then right click and select "Read metadata from files." Works for me with LR 5.3, hope it works for you too.
jmahto Posted June 11, 2015 Share #4 Posted June 11, 2015 I tried this tool and it did the job on non-virtual files but left the virtual files stamped with old information. Has anybody found a solution?
