Ming Thein honed his photography craft and expertise as a member of the TZ UK watch collectors' forum based in the UK where he was a watch collector and prolific watch photographer; he is still a member and had over 19,000 forum posts to his credit before he moved from London to KL. At that time he used a Nikon D3 with Nikon macro lenses.
