UliWer Posted June 10, 2013 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2013 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am glad to present the results of the 21. Barnack Challenge to you: The winner is: thomas_schertel with "Wir sind beide müde". My congratulations go to Thomas and his Leica I - the camera I presume was the oldest participant in this challenge and doesn't seem tired at all! It was a close race between two very different photos and for some time during the voting it seemed as if "Let's call it a day" by erl would take the edge. In the end it became a worthy second. My cheers go as well to erl! The competition for third place was very, very tight and only decided on the last voting day in favour of: 250swb with "After works and calling it a day". Well done 250swb! The winner of the third place was closely followed by Möbi, eckart and Dr. No. I say thank you to all participants and all voters during a challenge I enjoyed very much! It's now Thomas' turn to take over for the next challenge. A summary of the results for 13 entries and 35 votes is added below. ………….. After works and calling it a day" entschieden worden. Gratuliere 250swb!

erl Posted June 10, 2013 Share #4 Posted June 10, 2013 Congratulations to Thomas for his fine entry and ultimate win. If I am correct his picture is a self portrait. Not an easy task to accomplish! I congratulate all the entrants for their fine efforts. As a newcomer to LTM cameras I am discovering just how difficult it can be to use them. Even loading film is a challenge, for me. OTOH, they are a joy to work with and a strange release from technology. As an earlier voter observed, the incredible range of interpretations of the challenge subject was fantastic. I look forward to the next Challenge.

thomas_schertel Posted June 10, 2013 Share #9 Posted June 10, 2013 If I am correct his picture is a self portrait. Not an easy task to accomplish! Hello Erl, it was not so difficult. I have used the screw in self timer. Yours sincerely Thomas
UliWer Posted June 10, 2013 Author Share #10 Posted June 10, 2013 ... and the fact that you used an ABDOO instead of a proper HEBOO is no sufficient reason to disqualify you.
thomas_schertel Posted June 10, 2013 Share #11 Posted June 10, 2013 I tougt, that HEBOO delays the shutter for long times. Is it also possible to use it as self timer?

UliWer Posted June 10, 2013 Author Share #14 Posted June 10, 2013 I tougt, that HEBOO delays the shutter for long times. Is it also possible to use it as self timer? Also wieder was gelernt. chris_livsey Posted June 10, 2013 Share #15 Posted June 10, 2013 I cannot speak for the joint wooden spoon winner horstkon but I rejoice in the knowledge that it is not the winning but the taking part. Congratulations none the less to Thomas and to all those others who participated.
erl Posted June 11, 2013 Share #16 Posted June 11, 2013 Chris, you are so right about the 'taking part'. I had soooo much fun trying different scenarios and shooting them. Ultimately my final submission was the easiest of all to shoot, strangely enough.
