Nicely done SP. Some will say it's too dark

I say that it keeps the original and does not distort the photo

2 different conceptions of eyes and spirit perception

Am I abnormal ?

Henry

I don't think you are abnormal Mr.Henry :)

I am a cinematographer by day. Photographer by night :)

Both in film and photography, since the advent of digital all we have been trying to do is to imitate analog. Obviously this makes total sense since analog had been the only reference we had had before digital came to the scene. So naturally the eye felt that it needed to fall back onto something it had been accustomed to before.

However, 15 years later we are still kinda chasing the analog feel, even though enough time has passed for digital to have developed its own look. But the "better" the digital look, the closer it gets to film, or imitates it. So this is sort of interesting..The feeling of analog film and photography has defined the medium quite a bit so maybe even on the subconscious level we are still striving to get that experience.

So I sympathize with your feeling of despair when you look at digital but I myself am more forgiving to the digits and try to find the best imitations out there.

Thus the Leica m8-m9 which I really enjoy for digital photography and Arri Alexa / Amira / Blackmagic Cinema Camera which I really enjoy for digital cinema.

So don't lose hope just yet, we are close :)

Wayne I have 6  tubes on my amplifier coming from Sovtek a Russian factory

Production General Electric (GE) US tubes is stopped , no factory in USA

Thanks for your reply

My first single ended triode monoblocks used the Sovtek SE811 tubes, apparently originally designed for the MIG-25 Foxbat. These days I'm using push-pull KT88s, but my favourite version of them is made by electro-harmonix, who are also Russian.

B&W for me Henry, the colour shot is too dark, moody perhaps, but too dark.

Thanks, Gentlemen. :)

Well seen and executed, Adam. This has that almost-staged look, which makes it a marvelous capture.

Very nice Adam this perspective and shot

Thanks

Henry
