I think the reproduction of music (for me classical) and the reproduction of image

are very similar . People looks now for immediate and cheap product

They bought CD and digital camera (smartphone) but the quality is not there.

Every day ,  I listen to my vinyl records and I ask myself why the reproduction degrades

and loses its soul like now . Why go to what is less good  ?

Sad time

Henry

Just sad times for people who dont see or feel the difference.

So you are one of the lucky one Henry - keep that in mind !

Btw. I love records too.  ;)

Thanks for your thought  :)

I just see this thread of Adam

He's right to ask this question : why imitate film  , why not shoot directly film ? you can have directly grain

instead of "smoothed" square pixels (cannot be converted in grain IMO)

Very nice, Phil.  Very interesting insight into these kids' lives.  Seems like it was a fun workshop.

Many, many thanks to you Gnu, Doc, SS, Adam and Christoph, and to all who took the time to look at these pictures and maybe give them a tick. It truly was a fun and exhilarating experience, and to have met Mary Ellen was one of those things that will not only stay with me forever, but is something that I will always cherish.
