I guess we all know the old Gershwin classic SUMMERTIME and I thought if we all have a version, each's own favorite version of this song in the head while finding the pictures for the challenge we should get wonderful results to see. I put a few interpretations as links so maybe some of us will find their favorites there or you take the one you'll hear just when you think about this song;) . Durchgang der Barnack Challenge habe ich eine Melodie oder man könnte auch sagen ein Gefühl ausgesucht. Ich vermute jeder von uns kennt den Gershwin Klassiker Summertime und ich dachte, wenn nun jeder Teilnehmer eine, seine persönliche Lieblingsversion im Ohr hat beim finden des Motivs für den Wettbewerb, dann könnten doch ganz wunderbare Bilder entstehen. Ich habe einige Versionen zum anklicken oben eingestellt. Ich steh auf Oscar & Ella aus der entsprechenden Porgy & Bess Originalaufnahme. Aber das hier ist auch nicht schlecht: nur Ella! I thought you have one too, perhaps a more refreshing one than the continental;)Doesn't jump the fishes in the rain too? eckart Posted July 3, 2012 Author Share #9 Posted July 3, 2012 Es freut mich sehr, das das Thema gefällt. @Möbi und Dirk Ich hoffe ja sehr, das ihr die Teilnahme trotzdem irgendwie schafft, vielleicht mit C41-Material und Scan vom Minilab? Sowas geht ja in vielen Urlaubsgegenden recht flott und Internetzugänge bieten auch die meisten Hotels...und das Thema verträgt sich doch eigentlich ganz wunderbar mit Urlaub;) Leider bin ich ebenfalls im Urlaub.Ob ich es noch rechtzeitig schaffe, kann ich noch nicht sagen. However, a 'point of order' if I may? 7 days for uploading is very short for those of us who are obliged to send our film away for developing. We would only have 7 days to: - post the film to the developer - have it developed - return post from the developer - scan the developed film - make post-processing adjustments to be able to load it onto the forum. The company I use normally returns the film within 7 days (his fastest turn-around) but there have been occasions where it has been a few days more and if that were to happen then I wouldn't be able to enter. Start will be as it was above: July 08th to July 21th---------- taking pictures but than new, 2 weeks for uploading: July 22th to August 4th---------uploading August 5th to August 18th------voting I hope this will help all forents who wants to participate having now the possibility to All the best Eckart Wie der Forent Farnz richtig bemerkte ist mir beim Zeitplan die Zeit für das Hochladen zu kurz geraten, da doch manche ihre Filme erst zum Entwickeln wegschicken müssen. I hope some of our foreign friends have more luck. I think it will be a question of timing to find the picture... a sort of a lucky punch:D But nevertheless the theme is what we are making out of it.
