This is the spot Lord Selkirk's settllers got out of their York Boats and started what would be come Winnipeg. (With plenty of help from the Chippewa, Cree, Ojibawa). Three photos stitched together. These are from the jpegs that accomany the RAW images . . . haven't processed the RAW images yet.

Thanks John,

Yes it is indeed the Red but the spot is between Banatyne & Higgins in Downtown Winnipeg. It is the original site of Ft. Douglas. I used PhotoStitch which came with my Canon i960 printer.
