Mark Pope Posted March 3, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2012 Advertisement (gone after registration) The rubber ring has come off my 1.25x magnifier and disappeared. I should get a replacement ring from Leica in the next day or two. Is there a 'right' way of fitting a replacement ring so it remains in-place? 250swb Posted March 3, 2012 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2012 Just fit it. It is difficult getting any more elaborate than that because there are no glues that will properly bond both rubber and anodised metal over such a small area. It is recommended by Leica for the rubber ring on the Leica X1 external viewfinder. Seems like a very similar problem to the 1.25x Magnifier. mediumformula Posted February 10, 2022 Share #4 Posted February 10, 2022 The rubber ring on a 1.25 Leica magnifier keeps falling off. Is there a part number for the rubber ring replacement?
UliWer Posted February 10, 2022 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2022 You might try O-rings normally used for water taps. They come in packages of different sizes, and one will fit.
