Picture Frames

I went to my local high end framers, got lots of advice and bought all the gubbins i need to do the framing myself, my boyfriend is going to teach me and i've got use of his tools. it's still expensive because i have chosen very nice glass, mounting board ect but it's much cheaper than having the bespoke frames made for me. The b friend can make walnut and oak frames for me to use for special gifts which would cost an arm and a leg if the framers made them, esp if i print up to A2.

I tend to buy most of my frames from 'The Range' as they have a good selection and are reasonably priced. It is often cheaper to buy the larger frames for A3+ sized prints complete with some ghastly print which can be quickly disposed of. Many come with mounts that just need the window recut to the appropriate size for one's print. Don't expect UV glass at their prices.
