gverdon Posted July 9, 2006 Author Share #23 Posted July 9, 2006 A lesson about something you love is always a pleasure. There are some good teachers here, and many of us we learn with them. Marc, that was exactly my point: I don't see myself as a teacher in photography. I love it (again, should I say) and I like to share some feelings; and I even sometimes take the liberty of giving my opinion, but, again, my images are never conceived as examples or models. And, let's be honest, I loved many subjects during my studies but I had to bear some painful lessons... ;-) Gérald

marc_dufour Posted July 9, 2006 Share #25 Posted July 9, 2006 Gérald, I understand you don't consider yourself as a teacher. But you can't deny your work (and not only the yours) is a source of inspiration and knowledge for other members. Your comments, often spicy and appropriate, are usually useful. You're not a teacher (either other members), but let us enjoy your work, and learn with it :-) Marc
wilyum Posted July 9, 2006 Share #26 Posted July 9, 2006 A great picture, Gerald. The lighting, textures and composition are all superb. Best wishes, Bill

"source of inspiration" sounds good... less didactic and more poetic ;-) (just kidding) Gérald

stuny Posted July 10, 2006 Share #30 Posted July 10, 2006 Gerald - Less of your signature mystery and foreboding, and more of a classic 1930s feel. Exquisite tones, texture, light and composition. Stuart
