john_r_smith Posted July 7, 2006 Share #6 Posted July 7, 2006 Gerald now look, this is all getting a bit much. It has got ot stop here and now. I'm afraid that we are going to have to ban you from the photo forum (and particularly the Landscape section) because you are consistently, knowingly and willfully posting not just good, or even excellent, but bloody BRILLIANT photos here in contravention of the clear Forum rule which states that the rest of us have to get a look-in sometime . . . Seriously, though, this one is rather good John
marc_dufour Posted July 7, 2006 Share #7 Posted July 7, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) A perfect composition, Gérald. I'm afraid it's The Picture it had to be done :-) Marc

gverdon Posted July 7, 2006 Author Share #10 Posted July 7, 2006 Thank you everyone. Your comments are always appreciated. William, I made this series in D2 B&W setup, it's less disturbing to see the B&W image through the EVF. John, it's amazing how generous our direct environment can be... ;-) Marc, I must admit that this semi-hidden sun was incredibly tantalizing. Cheers, Gérald

gverdon Posted July 8, 2006 Author Share #15 Posted July 8, 2006 Thanks Klaus. But in the swiss system (well, it depends on the canton...) the notation system is 1 to 6 and 1 is the worst mark... ;-) Gérald
ddh Posted July 8, 2006 Share #16 Posted July 8, 2006 Gerald, I have come to expect masterful images from You but this one is truly stunning. The degree of symetry between clouds and field, dark and light gradients is remarquable. The motions generated by the lines of the image make this a very dynamic composition. Thanks for the lesson. gverdon Posted July 8, 2006 Author Share #18 Posted July 8, 2006 Merci Daniel! But I sincerely hope that it is rather a pleasure than a lesson... ;-) Gérald
marc_dufour Posted July 9, 2006 Share #19 Posted July 9, 2006 A lesson about something you love is always a pleasure. There are some good teachers here, and many of us we learn with them.
