robert_parker Posted July 6, 2006 Share #1 Posted July 6, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I very seldom feature in the Architecture section but here's a detail from a photograph taken on the Embankment, London, a few weeks ago. Underneath is the full frame, with just a tiny crop at the bottom for effect. C-1, auto, ISO 200, f3.5 1/

robert_parker Posted July 6, 2006 Author Share #2 Posted July 6, 2006 Here's the slight crop
hm1912 Posted July 7, 2006 Share #3 Posted July 7, 2006 This is interesting because I often find little details (like the fish you've captured here) that I want to take photos of, but find that the photos often come out very poorly because of too much surrounding detail or because I was unable to get enough surrounding detail to help demonstrate the setting. I think you've almost got it in the first photograph (the CRV is a bit annoying). Thanks for posting this. Best,
robert_parker Posted July 7, 2006 Author Share #4 Posted July 7, 2006 IIan I was trying to get the cropping right because cropping seemend to give more impact - like you say, shame about the CRV though - if it had been just london taxis (a split second before or a split second later), it probably would have improved the image !! Thanks for looking
