Leica has released new firmware updates for the Leica S and the Leica S2 / S2-P online. The update will adapt the systems to the new Summicron-S 100 mm f/2 ASPH. and contains some additional improvements for the Leica S.

Finally Leica has officially introduced the Summicron-S 100 mm f/2 ASPH for the Leica S system. The portrait focal length will be available for $8,590 (6,500 Euros) in authorized Leica dealers from September 2014.
