This is a Bentley chassis, the engine is somewhat larger than the envisaged original ![]() http://http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Napier_Lion I think that this example was discovered in a timber yard providing power for the saws,etc. It is not a FIAT engine but was certainly designed for flying rather than motoring. ![]() |

I think it is a Napier "Broad Arrow" engine ... Napier Lion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia ... interesting picture ... and in this context the use of "Broad Arrow" probably predated use of same expression to describe the HM Government arrow engraved on military equipment.
