Berth Posted August 20, 2014 Share #9 Posted August 20, 2014 I believe that's the George Herbert Walker Bush. There is a George W Bush library though. It may have a book in it.

You took the words right out of my mouth! It is most definitely the George H W Bush. A universe of difference that makes me wonder how the OP missed... And, for the alleged presence of a book in the so called "library," I'm guessing it's a kindergarten book? Ece

Thanks La Morte... I am photo-journalist for Reuters and Fifth Fleet being based in Bahrain comes in my area of coverage. In war or such situation when US Navy launches any strikes or operations in the region I normally go to cover the stories. This trip was Operation Strike on ISIS location in Iraq and thats why i was there to cover the action. Normally we are allowed to take any image... flights in operation.. sailors on deck and other life style pictures of sailors. whats really impressing is that seeing how people (sailors) work there and make this big city floating.

NZDavid Posted August 20, 2014 Share #16 Posted August 20, 2014 Pictures capture the essence and everyday life onboard the carrier during this critical mission. Not only do they show the carrier in action, they show Leica in action doing exactly what it is supposed to do, efficiently and unobtrusively. I think people may be interested to know some technical details: lens, settings? If you are on an assignment there are no second chances so you have to get it right first time.

Good poind NZDavid... the wide angle images are taken with Voightlanter 12mm 5.6F at 400 ISAO. the remaining images are taken with Leica 35mm F2 and ISO was same 400 here too.
