Actually, not exactly!... I love warm weather and if SF had the weather and the beaches of Santa Monica, then it would be for me the ideal place to live!... But I know many would take it as it is, with cold evenings, wind and no warm sands!

This is exactly what I thought. I told a friend it is the NYC of the West. But without the skyscrapers and the sophisticated people of NYC!

I also spent couple of days in Santa Barbara. What a a beautiful and classy city! But too quiet for my taste! SF has more action, indeed; but the weather....!
