A miller Posted August 27, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 27, 2014 I am a little disturbed by your title, though. The only person who deserves credit for this photo is you. It is as original as "street photography" gets. No need to diminish this by linking your photo to someone else. Having said this, I could do without such a prominent watermark
stuny Posted August 27, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 27, 2014 Terrific, in spite of the watermark.

topoxforddoc Posted August 27, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted August 27, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thank you everyone. Sorry about the watermarks, but I'm fed up with people stealing images on the web. The title was a bit tongue in cheek. But I must say that I am a great admirer of Elliott's work, in particular his series of dog portraits. So much so, that I have treated myself to a pair of EE prints - "Dog Legs - NYC 1974" and "Paris 1989". I have always wanted to try and emulate his dog series. So when I saw these two dogs and their owner on the Oslo underground, I just had to ask her if I could take a picture of the dogs.
A miller Posted August 27, 2014 Share #8 Posted August 27, 2014 Charlie - Nothing wrong with admiring other people's work and even purchasing it. But in a way I feel that you are selling yourself short by comparing your work to that of others. You are an excellent photographer in your own right, and I wouldn't feel in any way that your shot was a copy of someone else's "angle", "style" or "eye." (That's why I don't study photographers that much.)
roguewave Posted August 27, 2014 Share #9 Posted August 27, 2014 Charlie, I'm happy to see such whimsy. Much enjoyed.
