I will start this by saying i am not really a "street photographer" its something i have only really started since i got my Leica, as a way of honing my skills with a rangefinder camera (quickly focusing, guessing distance and framing etc)

these are a few from a quick walk through London court and Sherwood st

all shot with my M240 and 50 Summarit

#2 i thought was humorous, two delivery guys for one chair (with wheels) and he carries it over his head

A very nice series. You did rather well framing your pictures and they in sharp focus. Excellent lighting and tones.

Paul

Thank you Paul, although viewing small images on a screen obscures image sharpness, as so much information is thrown away, #1 + #3 both show a little motion blur (#1 from me moving, #3 from her moving) which would possibly be visible in a 5x7 print

A lovely set. At first I thought I'd need to advise you to get closer, but you already did that with your 3rd, 4th & 5th photos.

Thank you

I am still getting used to taking pics of random strangers, so I am wary of getting too close.

Shooting with a 50mm lets me keep a little more distance, but still fill the frame nicely

Hello Echo63,

Nice photos.

The reason the person is carrying the chair is that wheels on furniture are generally only designed to be used for moving furniture small distances such as when cleaning the floor underneath. Or for short movements. Like with a chair at a desk.

When used for moving furniture any significant distance: Wheels of this type often break.

You may find that if you practice enough in your spare time with your range/viewfinder you may not have to guess to determine distances quite so often.

Best Regards,

Michael

Thank you for the comments.

I am pretty good at focusing quickly and accurately with the RF (i can keep up with my 1yr old anyway) i was referring more to shooting from waist level, or prefocusing before lifting the camera to my eye
