pauledell Posted April 21, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 21, 2014 Ece, A place that looks quite foreboding. You are rather brave or foolhardy to be there, but at any rate, a fine picture. Try a b&w version that has darker exposure for the mood. Paul
stuny Posted April 21, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 21, 2014 Very nice, mysterious, surreal.
Louis Posted April 21, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 21, 2014 Very mysterious, indeed! But extremely well composed with really very nice colors!... I always liked old or abandoned places to shoot. They usually look great and dramatic in deep B/W; but I can't imagine this one in B/W. You have a great eye and also a superb taste, dear Ece. roguewave Posted April 21, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 21, 2014 Ece, I just love this. The faded colors, reminding me of my favorite streets in my Chinatown. Much enjoyed.
newnew Posted April 22, 2014 Share #6 Posted April 22, 2014 Ece, great picture. The backside of the jewelry does not look as good as the front probably..
allamande Posted April 23, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted April 23, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Paul, Stuart, Louis, Ben, Ali, (and the thumbs up!) Thank you for taking a look at my post and for your generous comments. Much appreciated. Paul, it might work in BW but for me this represents the emotional charge of the place as I stood in front of that doorway. Louis you are most kind and it is always greatly appreciated. Ben, I have to put aside some time to explore your Chinatown when I visit NYC next time. Your encouragement means a lot. Ece
Hank Taylor Posted April 23, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 23, 2014 I like this scene not over powering with bright colors, it works. Louis is right, B/W would not have worked as well. hank
janlu Posted April 23, 2014 Share #9 Posted April 23, 2014 (edited) You always have a very fine eye dear Ece ..... extremely well seen and composed . It's not the first time i see you making this kind of things , and i always enjoy them. A very fine and subtle arrangement of elements and tones around that door that work and interact extremely well together , in order to make a very interesting and clever photograph of the place . Iduna Posted April 23, 2014 Share #10 Posted April 23, 2014 Ece, quite an eerie hole and one what or who will disapperar or come out of this dark frame. Good composirion and muted colors.
John Basso Posted April 24, 2014 Share #11 Posted April 24, 2014 Hello Ece. This is an excellent lugubre photograph .The one way sign adds to the demise if one would enter this door and never to be seen again. Très dramatique. Greetings: JohnBasso.
