River Irwell, home of the oldest inter-varsity boat race, eat your hearts out Oxbridge! I remember when the river was so polluted, you could walk across it.

Nice reflections, you could crop this image several ways to make totally different shots.

Cheers,

Pete.

I used to walk on the Lowry side here every day going to the office.

(This building is also home of famous footballers )

Very nice light here. (What camera, John ?)

(The vacant plot immediately behind where you were standing is going to get another 50 storey apartment block a la Beetham Tower...

Pete - it crops really well just below where the buildings meet the water.

John, I have to say that I prefer the reflections to the buildings. I would go for a trim, perhaps keeping just a hint of the lower buildings.

Pete, Andy,

I considered several crops before deciding to leave it as it is!

It was taken with a Digilux 2 as part of a "one hour photo" contest - loosely modelled on the ones held on the forum - with friends and colleagues.

Thanks for commenting.
