River Irwell, home of the oldest inter-varsity boat race, eat your hearts out Oxbridge! I remember when the river was so polluted, you could walk across it.

I used to walk on the Lowry side here every day going to the office.
(This building is also home of famous footballers )Very nice light here. (What camera, John ?) (The vacant plot immediately behind where you were standing is going to get another 50 storey apartment block a la Beetham Tower... Pete - it crops really well just below where the buildings meet the water.

I considered several crops before deciding to leave it as it is! It was taken with a Digilux 2 as part of a "one hour photo" contest - loosely modelled on the ones held on the forum - with friends and colleagues. Thanks for commenting. |
