Default 3 Freight trains

First one shot with 35 Summicron asph and last two with the 50 Elmar. Enjoy!

Bill.

How do you find the M 35mm f/2 asph for shooting Trains.
I prefer the R system for my Train shots, but I do use the M 35mm f/2 for low light shots.

First shot taken with the R7& 50mm f/2 Kodak Elitechrome 100. Tripod held.

Second shot taken with the M7 & 35mm f/2 ASPH Kodak Elitechrome 100.
Hand held at 8th of a second at f/2.

You always get the most natural colors, Bill.

Is this Reala you're using still?

Nice use of two of the best lenses for "real shooters" out there.

Thanks.

Allan

Ken, the 35 allows me to get closer to the trains because sometimes there are objects in the way. See the black and white photo below to see what I am talking about. This shot was done with my 50 Elmar and light red filter. I think if I had a 35 at the time I wouldn't have to worry about all those telphone poles in my way.
Allan, the store called Creve Coeur Camera uses Fuji chemicals in their processing. These shots were from the CD they made for me and I did not alter the photos. The film I used was Fuji Reala. Creve Coeur used to use Agfa and sell Vista film but no longer. I missed the Agfa Vista film because of how contrasty the pictures would turn out. Oh well.
