Default Tuesday night race

I went out on the boat to watch a Tueday night race and here are a few images I got with the 400mm f6.8.

Rob, great light & color in these renderings. I particularly liked the last. Nice angle and very complimentary to the vessel & crew. Not many markings on the mains. Isn't it required to have sail numbers in Canada?

Ben:

The sail numbers were not visible on the other photos. Incidentally, this lady, a former Commodore of the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron was injured in a ski accident about fifteen years ago. Last summer a regatta for disabled sailors was held in Halifax and she took up sailing again in the provided boats. She finished in a respectable position considering some of the other sailors there are headed to the Olympics. After that experience she decided to buy a Bluenose class sloop and adapt it so she could sail it.

The small seaside community of Chester, not far from where she lives has a large fleet of Bluenoses that race every Tuesday night at the Chester Yacht club. I think this was the second race in the series.

My first sailboat was a Bluenose, sail number B2, the second one made. B1 is in the museum.

Robert
