Walking by the Park Avenue Ferrari/Maser showroom I saw this just factory restored circa 1958 California roadster, no doubt placed there to begin drumming up interest in the new California roadster (folding hard top) to have its European release at the Paris show in October, and early next year in the US. Only one photo is from inside, at which time I was told no photos inside. The others suffer refection and refraction through the plate glass windows. My photos do not do justice to the car, but it was exciting to see.

Beautiful car but still cannot see $11m, which is what one sold for recently- world's most expensive car ever.
![]() "No photographs" idiots. Nice set Stu.

Poor car, what an ugly environment. I can understand their wish "no photos"
Beautiful thing, nice color. Thanks for sharing, Stu. Reminds me to ask somebody who has a 250 convertible for a shooting date OUTSIDE ![]() |

Pete, ronald & Ivan -
Thank you. I knew its value had to be in the millions (vintage Ferrari spiders tend to be pricier than GTs) but I didn't know it was that valuable. I sent the photos to Barbara and got an almost instant response of, "Yeah, baby! Perfect for my birthday." We share so many interests. |

Jonathan -
Easy -- I waited in the thick shrubbery just north of the 6th door into your garage. When you opened the door and motored out in your Ferrari Lusso I slipped into the garage before the door slammed shut. I've been stuck in here for days and must commend you for haivng both a camp toilet and a large pantry in here. Please add a shower and larger screen TV. |

Barbara is a woman of taste, really.
This roadster is such a beauty I know a man here who restores Aston Martins. DB2 and DB3 mostly. Much more affordable (about 30 Noctilux — a new currency). Would you please pass the news to your Dulcinea ? |

May we have the privilege of a picture, showing Barbara in a 1958 Hubert de Givenchy dress aboard this 1958 Ferrari, shot with a 1958 M3, for instance. Am I too demanding ? Last edited by sthan : 07/10/08 at 01:44 PM. |

Let's make a poll
Which one you guys would choose to own: new Ferrari California or an old, classic one we can see in the pictures?New one looks so smooth... But for me - classic is always classic. I bet $100, that if anyone would see both new one and old one next to each other in the street, old one would win their attention hands down leaving the new Ferrari California to cry in the corner...

Beautiful car. it seemed a shame to have those reflections so I played a bit and thought this BW solved the problem. I like the actual reflections but it was that foggy sort of coloring on the front that ruined it for me. What do you think?
