Nicely seen and taken for what could have been so easily missed as non-existent.

As I mentioned before when you sent me the file, this looks really decent on my good monitor and the use of flash is not so evident. Nice details! If you have more Leica shots of this yacht, please post them and tell everyone the story of this old "modern" boat. Fascinating...

Default AW: bondage instead of banding

@ all: Glad you like it. Thanks.

William, this is NOT the classic 1920´s boat i sent you some days ago.
This one is a quit modern one. Too bad i made only one or two shots of that old thing before they pulled it out of the water for winter-sleep.

cheers, Ron

p.s. Will check if it is ok enough for the forum and tell the story of the boat.

OK, forget this photo (not good enough for the forum), but maybe the boats history is interesting enough to tell.

The boat is a typical 1920´s design (as far as i know). It has a VERY elegant shape, probably a small racing boat. At the end of WWII the owner made a "submarine" out of it, to avoid the allied forces (russians) get it as a spoils of war. It was under water for several decades somebody from the yacht-club told me. It is really interesting that it could stand the water all the time (maybe cold water and less oxygen?).

The present owner had a LOT of work to get it back swimming and in this wonderful condition but it was worth all the pain, what do you think?

Default AW: bondage instead of banding

that' the moment to speak a little bit about my

11 ft. Mirror Dinghi which I sailed ten years ago on the Atlantic in France and the Dutch coast.

Dark blue hull (like a Swan 50 ft. ) and a clear varnish at the inside, the yachties in some snobbish harbours turned their heads...
Congratulations to the English for this lovely tiny boat!

What I like in a little bigger size is the Drascombe Lugger with it's Mizzen. But a Leica should be first....

Rona|d,

I love the way the rope lights up on my screen, it glows. This is an interesting image. I find my eye moves about taking in detail. You have a very high grade compostition I believe.

Good eye
